Jock Nobelius was one of the sons of Carl Axel Nobelius who established the renowned Gembrook Nurseries.

Significance

These vases are an example of vases used by the Nobelius family in Emerald in the first part of the 20th century.

Physical description

Two beige ceramic vases with decorative floral engraving. Both have scalloped edges. The first vase is an inverted 'A' shape with a narrow base and wide top and the second vase is 'boat shaped'. Owned by Jock and Flo Nobelius.
