Significance

This item holds historical significance as it features past members of the community and a ribbon from a local garden show this also holds social significance as that garden show was connected to a garden club which would have once been a way for people to socialized and meet like minded community members helping develop our understanding of how Emeralds community developed socially.

Physical description

Black and white rectangular photograph. The black and white photograph depicts an older man and an older woman standing together in garden facing each other. Between them, they hold a ribbon from the garden club. Both the man and woman wear short sleeve button down shirts. The woman can also be seen wearing stud earrings, while the man wears glasses. Behind the woman, a metal hanging plant stand can be seen holding up several hanging pots. Behind that, a building can be seen with a chain link fence connected up to it, fencing the garden in.
