Significance

This photo shows the ribbon cutting for the Memorial Avenue (aka Heroes Avenue) for WWI soldiers. Memorial Avenues were created across Australia following the end of WWI. It could be safely assumed that the Gembrook
(Nobelius Nursery) supplied the trees for the avenue.
