Historical information

The Deposit book stubs cover the first entry into the Bendigo RSL Drop in Centre account which had become the account of the Soldiers Memorial Institute Military Museum. The first entry was $49.50 on 26.6.1998, the final entry was on 23.12.2005 with $102.00.
The cheque book stubs actually begin on 21.3.1996 when the Billiard room was being converted into a "Drop in Centre" for the Members of the Bendigo RSL. There was no thought of a Museum at that stage. The first Museum stub was for $58.10 on 26.6.1998 when the account was converted to accommodate the Museums own finance. The account was closed in 2006 to begin a new banking system.
