About

We are a volunteer, non-profit group whose primary aim is to support both family and local history within the City of Casey and the Shire of Cardinia. We serve the communities of Narre Warren, Narre Warren North and East, Berwick, Harkaway, Pakenham, Cranbourne, Beaconsfield and the surrounding areas. We conduct regular monthly meetings which are open to members and visitors alike and visitors are always welcome. More details about this year’s meetings can be found on our Meetings or Events pages.

We have a research room at 110 High Street, Berwick in which members of the Group research their family history whether it be local, Australian or International. We have two volunteers on duty at all sessions to assist researchers and visitors are always welcome. More details on opening times and charges can be found on our Research Room page.

We extend an open invitation to anyone interested in family or local history research to pop into our research room and have a chat with our volunteers and check out our resources, we’d love to meet you and there is no charge for a quick tour and a chat – we’ll only ask for a visitor’s fee if you come armed with pencil, paper and notes, ready to do some research!

We offer a research service for those unable to visit our research room.
