Yields information about tram services and how timetables were printed using a clock face for use in Ballarat. Demonstrates timetable making.Twenty Eight page, white paper, saddle stapled booklet, titled "Electricity Supply Department - Ballarat Tramways - Official Time Table January 1939", numbered TYE 1-48-5918. Gives notes on the through routing of the tram service, how the clock style format works and that it operates from the Tramway Centre. Also details when extra services are run and times as specific points along the route. Pages 24 and 25 detail the fares and charges, page 26 - luggage, page 27 - section destinations for the various routes and page 28, notes recent reductions in electricity charges. Two copies held. In the worksheet file is the basis of an article that appeared in Feb. 2006 Fares Please! Grey cardboard with light grey cloth end binding covered book, 124 pages "MMTB Electric Tramways and Motor Omnibuses Sections and Fares", dated July 1976. Inside the book - see image 80i4, was a heavy sheet of cardboard headed "Fares Charges from 4/7/76" giving the adult and child fares for each section of travel. Details the various section stages and fares for each tram and bus route, General instructions, concession fares and has photos or drawings of the various special tickets, eg passes or prepaid tickets. Book consists of eight sections, bound with cloth binding on the outside covering internal staples. Second copy added 27-12-2013 ex AETA. Photo shows the tree lined route and how the road surfaces was not fully sealed to the gutter, but with a crushed rock edge. Photo taken by Chris Wurr during late 1960's or early 1970's. Has a photo of Mr. Ralph Bell and Mr George Wright. At corner with Cobden St. Has a Milk Bar in the background, advertising Streets Ice creek, Coca Cola, Briquettes and Vincent's Cold and Flu tablets. Donated to Museum by an autistic young man, who as a boy would play at the museum toy tram tables. He donated it so that other young boys could play with it. Ha a strong association with the donorToy Tram in style of a Japanese tram, with 'friction' motor. Is dark green in colour with a wide cream band around windows; grey roof; silver pantograph; grey wheels; black chassis. Has eyes on front that move from side to side.
