The album was obtained by the Phillip Island & District Historical Society at an auction of The Earl's possessions, on 7/3/1990. Contained in this album are postcards with Registration Nos. 85-00 to 85-48.Photograph Album containing 48 postcards of Phillip Island. The cover of the album is made of brown vellum(?) on cardboard and has a vellum (?) thong tying the pages together. On the front is an embossed lady and embossed gold lettering. Cattle grazing. In the 1990s government departments allocated the number of cattle being taken up to the Bogong High Plains by the families who traditionally leased land there.Cattle grazing had been banned in other Alpine areas due to concerns of their impact on the environment. Kiewa Valley cattle graziers were caught up in the controversy as it was their tradition dating back to the 1840s. Dad & Dave Cafe was located in Pall Mall Charing Cross Bendigo. It was opened by dairy farmer and milk bar owner Les McClure in 1939. His Four'n Twenty meat pies were initially made in Bendigo in 1947. McClure sold his Four'n Twenty Pie's Pty. Ltd. to Peters Ice Cream (VIC) Ltd. in 1960.A small plate 16 centimetres diameter and two centimetres high. It's white with a blue trim on the edge and a blue circular logo -DAD & DAVE BENDIGO with Dad and Dave faces in the middle. .
