Each ticket medium weight card, on pink card and printed on black ink to give day numbers, monthly, week number, transfers and day of the week, excluding Sunday. Numbered on the right end of the ticket. Static number (1 - 7) on the left may be to indicate the day of the issue. On the rear of the ticket are the details of the ticket use, allowing passengers one return journey between City and section 3 or 4. Not available on Sundays. Form Number TYE 3-13 Note: 1. See Reg. Scarlet cloth lined paper ticket with white front, printed in black ink with fare value of 4/-. Blank or Unused Scholar's monthly ticket for use by under 15 years students, numbered A01831, 33 and 34. Has form number "TYE 2-13" in top left hand corner. Space for an expiry date to be stamped on the ticket and name, address and school of the student. Yields information about one of the first two maximum traction bogie trams in Ballarat in October 1945 after it had been repainted for use in Ballarat by the SEC and the Lake / depot area at the time.Black and white photograph of SEC No. 15 in Wendouree Parade just to the south of St. Aidans Drive. Photo taken looking south with the trolley pole to the camera in the raised position. Appears to be a new trolley rope. Tram has destination of "Gardens via Drummond Nth". Possibly taken soon after receipt and repainting in Ballarat in 1945. "The Ballarat Tramways" notes that No. 15 arrived in Ballarat October 1945 and was renumbered to No. 36 in 1953. Pringle, Manager ESCo to Inspector James dated 13/3/1918 congratulating Mr. James about a letter he wrote to the local paper, about the tokens used and their handling, At the bottom of the page, is the information about the basis of the letter written to Inspector James. ESCo Employee Hours Work Record book that has been used by an ESCo/SEC inspector, H. P. James as a record / note book for his personal collection or papers or journal titled "Out of the Past". Book sewn with string in 36 page sections, blank end papers, board covers with stipple paper out sides and Rexene cloth binding. Comprising plain paper end papers and 104 printed pages (52 leaves), with each sheet printed in black on feint ruled paper for recording the hours worked and other details of drivers and conductors employed by ESCo. Printed for daily use, with Day and date page headings - made out for the 1930's. Images: Book - i1 Inside front cover - i2 Members Certificate - i3 Has been used to gather mementos such as photos, articles, newspaper clippings, letters and other miscellaneous documents on Ballarat local history. Newspaper cuttings etc often have side notes written by Mr. James. Inside front cover has certificate recording Mr. James membership to the Ballarat Historical Society for 1940.
