Demonstrates the safety record of the SEC Ballarat depot, has a strong association with the workers and Yields information about their performance and dates.Timber framed box, glass fronted, Masonite back, painted black on the edges and front with a slot on the underside and metal catch screwed to the timber that allowed a preprinted poster to be slid out from the base. The poster titled "Our Safe Working Days Score", provided with secured to the poster, four metal sheets pressed with three rounded edges to allow a paper strip to be slid in from the right hand side and secured. Poster has been preprinted for the SEC Electricity Supply Department". The State Electricity Commission of Victoria 1921 to 1993 was responsible for electricity generation in Victoria and the operation of three Provincial Tramways. It had a strong safety focus for the time. These certificates show the safety focus and the reporting of safety performance to employees and visitors.Demonstrates the safety record of the SEC Ballarat depot, has a strong association with the workers and Yields information about their performance and dates.Set of three Timber framed certificates, glass front, black painted side timber with brown paper or card or Masonite backing and masking tape around the edges, titled "Award of Honour - Industrial Safety", that the Tram Depot Ballarat had established a meritorious record for safe work with no lost time. Gives the period and the date of the away. Signed by the Manager - A. W. Linaker? or F. White and the Chairman of the Safety Committee "Wm K. Trusler". Demonstrates how suggestions to Management of the SEC depot were made by tram employees and has a strong association with the tram crews.Sign - made from sheet metal, folded and welded to provide a suggestion box for the Ballarat Tram Depot. Has the word "Suggestions" in large Red capital letters, a large tray or box for receiving the suggestions (not too sure how you got them out without undoing the sign and shaking the items - if any - out) and an area for an instruction to be displayed. Has some 20 areas where information on the requisition could be recorded - on the rear sheet is provision for extending the cost of the job and accounting information. The off white sheet has been by the SEC Ballarat track gang to record their daily work, welding, track cleaning, etc for the period 1-8-1950 to 12-2-1951. Yields information and demonstrates aspects about Ballarat's destination rolls used in trams after 1967 when these rolls replaced those with the opposite colour arrangementDestination roll black lettering on white fabric background used in Ballarat from late 1967 until closure, replaced white letters on black background. Layout of individual destinations follows that shown in K.S.Kings, "Ballarat Tramways" - see image file for copy. Main letters are 150 high. On rear of roll, has abbreviated destinations painted in black paint to enable drivers to locate easier the individual destinations. Set of 11mixed Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramways Board tickets donated to the Museum. Tickets have been used and have varying degrees of dirt. The image file (btm1771i1) shows the nature of the damage. Tickets have not been individually numbered with the Registration Number, but can be identified by their ticket number and denomination. All have a Stamina Self supporting trousers advertisement on rear, same style but with differing thought for the month - see image btm1771i2.
