Model of HMS Kashmir built by Shipwright Charles Axiak. He originally trained and worked in British dockyards during WW2. Emigrated to Australia in 1955 and finished working in Williamstown dockyards building the River Class Destroyers K Class Destroyers built in UK in 1930's.1. Model of K-class Destroyer UK. Grey in colour above water line and brown below water line with black stripe dividing. Model has complete details of deck, guns and screws. 2. Wooden stand tailor made to hold the model of the ship. Brown in colour with long flat board. Small individual pieces of wood glued to the top to form the cradle for the boat. Newspaper Clipping - from a newspaper titled "Off the Rails" about the derailment of tram 750, running a route 82, Moonee Ponds at Rosamond Road, Maidstone the previous evening. Cutting undated and source not known. Notes derailment was due to stones packed into the track. Photo has the Emergency Crew truck rerailing the tram. C1960. Though to be early 1960's as there are advertisements on the front of the tram. Newspaper cutting from an unknown Melbourne newspaper with a photo of X1 465 loading passengers at Glenhuntly Road Elsternwick, with the signal box and railway overhead in the background. Notes the disadvantage of one many trams, with a large crowd having to pay separately as they enter. Has on the rear a piece of The Age with the date Wednesday 26 October to mend the cutting which has been torn. Dress of the ladies is 1920's with large hats. Decorative Object - Coaster set, Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, c1980
Set of 6 drink coasters, with a felt back gold plastic front with an impression of a Melbourne tram contained within a black finished cardboard box. Each coaster has the imprint of the MMTB emblem. The coasters feature: Z3 class - 1980 - has a Stephen Daly trademark logo on the rear. W2 class - 1927 A class - 1910 - 11 R Class - 1266 (Melbourne cable tram) - 1885 X class - 1924 T class - 1917 Produced by Paul Stephen-Daly trading at Louchrilau Nominees Pty Ltd, with address details and contact phone number (6 digits) and a telex number. Given it has a Z3 included, date late 1970's early 1980's. An internet search for the name shows a number of coasters produced by the same person on sale as collectables.
