THE FAMILY IMMIGRATED TO SOUTH AUSTRALIA IN 1851, ARRIVING ON THE OREGON AT PORT ADELAIDE IN NOVEMBER 1851. THE SETTLED IN THE COPPER MINING TOWN OF KAPUNDA. AFTER HIS PARENTS DIED IN 180/61 THOMAS WAS ADOPTED BY HIS AUNT HARRIET AND UNCLE HENRY ROWE.
