SEC Tram 17 and a former bus used as a food vendor stand, that has finished up in the front of S.E. Dickins Pty Ltd. (Grocers) store 1/10/1949. The tram derailed at the intersection of Sturt and Grenville St. collided with the bus and pushed it into the front of the store. Many people standing around the incident, including two trammies in front of the tram. Thought to be a Ballarat Courier Photograph. Wal Jack's caption advises the Bedford van was a doughnut kitchen. 1020.1 - added 3/06/2006 - small newspaper cutting with the same photo and a caption "While the driver was picking up lunch at Ashkar's pie shop, his tram ploughed into Dickin's grocery, on the present site of Norwich Plaza". Set of 10 sheets, photocopied on heat sensitive paper, foolscap size graph paper sheets giving the weekday tables or runs for the SEC Ballarat trams following the closure of the Victoria St. - Gardens via Drummond St. North service. Gives details of 29 tables or runs, numbered from 3 Run to 38 Run. Each sheet headed "Weekdays". Each run details where the driver/conductor would sign on, time, the trips, meal breaks, finish time and the total time of the shift. A number of the sheets have minor notes or changes to the timetable in ink, primarily about the change of tramcar type. Souvenir Teaspoon featuring Ballarat tram No. 40 as the last ram in 1971 in an inset at the top of the tea spoon, and No. 1 Horse tram 1887 in the bowl of the teaspoon contained within a plastic case. The teaspoon made by Perfection Plate, of the Vista style or type. The case has blue plastic base, with clear top with the words "Vista by perfection" printed do top. On the rear of the case is the wording "Perfection". The teaspoon is silver plated, with the tram in a picture 15mm diameter on top and oval shaped in the bowl about 25mm long. The teaspoon is marked "Vista" on the rear, with "Perfection Plate Australia" along the handle of the spoon. Tea spoon is 112mm long x 25mm wide. Case is 125mm high, 32mm wide, by 16mm deep. Set of four black and white postcards printed onto a one sided colour textured stock and contained within a folded white glossy paper envelope. The white envelope has the title "Ballarat Trams A Pictorial History in Four Post Cards" and a horse tram printed on it - made from heavy one sided paste board. The postcards consist of 1. Horse tram arriving at Grenville St with person stepping off - same image as Reg. Item No. 1539, 3898 2. ESCo tram soon after opening - c1905/1906 - has Gardens destination sign. 3 ESCo Sebastopol tram at the time of construction - with a "Suttons for Gramophones" roof advertisement and lettered "Ballarat Tramways". 4. SEC Tram - appears to be No. 32 in the Gardens area. On the rear of cards 1 and 2 is a text caption story that is relevant to the card picture. Cards 3 and 4 have a story board on the side and further information on the back. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.
