The Cruising Yachtsman of the Year trophy was donated to RBYC in 1993 by Commodore John R. and Mrs Anna Robinson of Queenscliffe Cruising Yacht club. The trophy is a silver wine basket to be presented with a bottle of wine on a white serviette in it. The winner is entitled to have the trophy on their table with their wine bottle in it if they were having dinner at the club.

These Union Jack flags are believed to have been used in the celebrations in Warrnambool on the occasion in 1953 of the Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11 (oral tradition only). Warrnambool celebrated with street parades, shop decorations and displays, concerts, church services and dinners. It was customary at the time to use the British flag more than the Australian one. These flags are retained because of their possible connection to mid 20th century Warrnambool celebrations (1953 Coronation of Queen Elizabeth 11).These are seven Union Jack flags made of cloth with red, white and blue colouring. The flags are pasted on to thin circular-shaped wooden sticks. This item would have been used as a salt container and would have been part of a dinner set. This would have been used for special occasions . It is in good condition and is a good example of this type salt storage jar. As this has a brown willow pattern instead of the usual blue it makes this make this salt despenser rare item.This has social and historical significance as it shows what items families used for special dinner occasions. A gathering of widow who attended widows exercise classes at Legacy House at a restaurant called Ruby Rose. Melbourne Legacy ran an excellent exercise program for its widows for many years and the swim classes at the City Baths were very popular. The instructor for many years was Betty Luders. A photo of President Foskett visiting Harelands house for dinner with Junior Legatees. This photo was used in a newsletter, the Bulletin, in 1972 which includes the caption 'The President of Melbourne Legacy, Legatee Ron. Foskett, joins some of the Junior Legatees at the "Harelands" Legacy Residence at Kew for dinner. Melbourne Legacy ran three residences: Blamey House (purchased 1947) , Stanhope (purchased 1945) and Harelands (purchased 1950), to take care of children whose fathers were servicemen, and who may have been left orphans, or whose mother may have been unable to care for them herself. Harelands accomodated boys and girls under the age of 14, Blamey House looked after boys over 14, and Stanhope looked after girls over 14.
