Textiles. Fine linen fabric, white in colour. A 19 cm wide panel of fabric has been sewn to the top of the cover and is edged on three sides with finely embroidered broderie anglaise featuring a circular, six petalled flower impression. A panel of the same broderie runs through the centre of the panel and is bordered by a band of three pin-tucks on each side. Textile - FAVALORO COLLECTION: BED-SPREAD PART OF MATCHING SET WITH PILLOW CASES, Late 1800-1900's
Textiles. Finely woven linen bed spread, white in colour, and with a ''turn-back'' top to come over or under the pillows. A 10.5 cm deep band of cotton lace trims the edge of this turn-back, and is gathered around the two lower corners, and extends 74 cm. along the side edges of the turn-back. An insert of lace, 2.5 cm wide, also outlines the turn-back, 8 cm from the edge of the linen. The lace trim has a scalloped edge, and a corded effect. Above the narrow band of lace, are beautifully embroidered initials CF. Some small red cotton embroidery on top hem-left hand corner. Embroidered in white cotton satin stitch, the initials are embellished with floral motifs and leaves, and some embroidered eyelets May be the initials of Caterina (Ina) Lamaro who married Giovanni "Jack" Favaloro, or Caterina "Kitty" Lopes who married Salvatoro "Salve" Favaloro.textiles, domestic, woven linen bed spread -

Clothing - Wedding dress and handkerchief, 1910
Dress purchased by Mary Schwerkolt in 1910 on voyage to America via German and the Suez Canal in India. Mary was on the passenger ship Seydlitz. Her future husband Emil Jackschowsky was a crew member. They were married in the Orphan's Court of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania by Minister J.L. Fischer on April 15, 1912. Mary had delayed her departure to travel back on this voyage with Emil.Cream silk wedding dress. High neck with a stand up shaped collar in the Queen Mary style. Collar has cream silk embroidery of flower centre front and leaves either side and edged in crocheted silk finely. Front bodice has 2 pintuck pleats either side of embroidered central panel and pleats are edged by embroidered panels to bustline. Bodice is gathered into high waistband. Skirt is pintucked into waistband. Embroidery is a band around hemline. The embroidery design is Indian "mango" design. The back bodice has pintucks into collar and opened to below waistband with metal hooks & eyes. Box pleat at base of placket opening. 3.4 length sleeve has a panel at hem on front with embroidered 4 petal cross flower & leaves either side. Waistband lined with cotton & neckband lined with cotton. Hem is faced with satined cotton. Used for the treatment of secondary amenorrhea and abnormal uterine bleeding, endometriosis.Two strips of Provelle 28 tablets. Each strip contains a row of 7 blue tablets, and a row of 7 maroon tablets. Blue tablets are imprinted with a 'U' design on one side. Maroon tablets are printed with the text 'PREMARIN' on one side. Text printed on tablet packaging reads 'Provelle 28/Maroon tablets - Premarin (conjugated oestrogens) 0.625 mg/Blue tablets - Provera (medroxyprogesterone acetate) 5mg/Take two tablets (1 maroon and 1 blue) per day'. Abbreviations for days of the week are printed below the tablets. Background of packaging is yellow, with vertical white bands behind the tablets, each band covering one blue and one maroon tablet. Photograph - IRISH ENVOYS AND SANDHURST COMMITTEE 1889, 1889
Meetings were held in St. Kilian's New Hall in April 1889 to organise the public welcome of the Irish envoys. 'All citizens in sympathy with the movement are cordially invited to attend' (Bendigo Advertiser, 22nd April 1889, Meetings ). The envoys arrived in Sandhurst by train on the 7th May 1889. 'There was a large gathering at the railway station, many of them wearing green and yellow ribbons being entwined in their buttonholes ..... one half of the crowd were at least fair daughters of Erin. The party proceeded in their carriages with at least one hundred members of the Hibernian Society wearing green sashes, leading the procession, while these were led by Northcott's Band, under Drum Major Byrne....Mr. J. Deasy, in a speech at the following dinner at the Shamrock said: ' at home and abroad Irishmen were one people and knew how to conduct themselves property. When they did not do so it was because they were driven to act otherwise by the oppression of the Government' (Bendigo Advertiser, 8th. Booklet, The Fabulous Nobodys Theatre Co. presents GREASE
16 page multi-fold white coloured stiff paper program with gloss paper cover and green coloured printing with a touch of red on front and back covers. From April 8th to 23rd, 1994Grease was devised in the early seventies and was a throwback to the era of early rock 'n roll in the 1950s. It tells the story of the T-Birds, whose leader Danny falls for the squeaky clean Sandy who is trying to change her image and join the Pink Ladies. It is one of the most popular musicals of recent times. The booklet contains many ads, a list of the Principal cast, the male cast, the female cast, the supporting cast. There are also lists of scenes and musical numbers and descriptions of Acts One and Two. The Band, the Crew, the Cast, Acknowledgements and back stage photos are included. -
