Nucolorvue was a company who specialised in souvenirs and postcards, although they have also published some Australiana books. This postcard can be dated to late 1960's when the population of Bendigo was around 32,000 and before Australian measurements became metric in 1970. This working-model steam engine was hand-made c.1893 by Frank Scott of Mewburn Park, and used to drive a pump. The entire engine and base were repaired, cleaned and restored by participants in a LEAP program hosted by Eastern Victorian Group Training, Bairnsdale, in June 1995. This included repairing a broken piston arm.This small steam engine has two wheels attached to shafts connected to a single piston. It has a horizontal double-acting three inch bore with a four and half inch stroke fitted with Stephensons link reversing gear. It is mounted on a green-coloured wooden box.engines

A brochure printed to capture an address given to the Legacy Club, Melbourne by Dr C H Fitts in 1942. The content appears to be about the term 'legacy'. The fact it was printed means it must have been significant to the Legatees. The notation H28 in red pen shows that it was part of the archive project that was trying to capture the history of Legacy. A record of the speech given to Legatees in 1942 and was significant enough to be printed. Mr Wehner's family was a prominent family in Orbost from the late 19th C. Hermann Wehner founded Wehner's blacksmiths at Orbost in 1889. Oswald began working with his father in 1910. In 1947, Ossie's son Tom started blacksmithing, retiring in 1991 and closing the business. The building remains in Nicholson Street, Orbost. A photograph is significant because it is of one of Orbost's blacksmiths. The Wehner family of blacksmiths (1889-1991) worked in Orbost and were the last blacksmiths operating until 1991. A black and white photograph of the dining area in The Crossways in Marysville. The Crossways was built in the early 1920s and is the oldest building in Marysville. The Crossways historic inn survived the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires thanks to the efforts of its c-owner Greg Cherry and, in the days after the fires, provided a much-needed refuge to the Marysville community and firefighters. The first Isle of Wight Hotel was built in c 1870. It burnt down in 1925 and was rebuilt. The hotel was sold and was to be demolished for a new hotel to be built on the site, however before this could take place it burnt down again on the 22nd May, 2010.
