BRL RADIAC Calculator No. 1 (ca 1952-1956) The RADIAC Calculator No. 1 was produced by Blundell Rules Limited of Luton England. Since it is based on the Radiation Dosage Calculator designed by William Orr in 1951, and since the company moved to Weymouth in 1956, it is safe to say that it probably dates from 1952-1956. It works as follows: if the exposure rate (roentgens/hr) is known at a given time after a nuclear explosion, the calculator predicts the exposure rate at any other time. It also estimates the dose to personnel who are in the area at specified periods of time after the explosion.Radiation dosage calculator, circular slide rule and leather pouch Slide Rule Ref No. 665-99-911-0060 Pouch : Calculators Radiac No.1. 665-99-911-0117. -

Uniform, trousers, Conway Bros. PTY. LTD, 1969
These trousers are part of a Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps uniform. The Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps (RAAOC) is responsible for various logistics and organisational operations, such as maintenance of parachutes, fuel distribution, personnel administration, exlosive disposal and laundy operations. The trousers were manufactured in 1969 and were worn by an unknown RAAOC serviceman. The patches on the sleeves of the corresponding jacket denote that he had earned qualifications as a parachuter and a marksman and that he was a Warrant Officer 1. Due to the period of manufacture it can be presumed that the serviceman whom this uniform belonged to served in the Vietnam War.As historic military uniform trousers dating to 1968, it is presumed that this item would have been used in service during the Vietnam War. The wearer of the uniform is unknown, however the patches and flashes attached signify that the serviceman worked for the Royal Australian Army Ordnance Corps, earned qualifications as a parachuter and marksman and ranked highly as a Warrant Officer 1. The item is representative of a type of uniform worn by high ranking RAAOC servicemen during the 1960’s. It is also in very good condition for its age.khaki coloured trousers which are composed of a heavy fabric. The trousers button up at the front with 6 plastic buttons. Aircraft, B-24 Liberator, Consolidated Aircraft Corporation, c. 1940
This particular aircraft was modified with a search radar in the lower fuselage to help locate and track targets and was then redesignated as a B-24R model. The RAAF took A72-176 on charge in late 1944 and this saw it issued to 7 OTU (Operational Training Unit) based at Tocumwal, south west NSW. The training saw bomber crews learn how to fly the bomber, operate as a team and work with fighters. Towards the end of the war there were up to 50 aircraft located at Tocumwal along with 5000 personnel. A72-176 was noted as flown on training missions by various aircrew. This aircraft is one of the only remaining B-24 bombers in the southern hemisphere and 1 of only 8 remaining B-24 airframes still existing in the world, out of the nearly 19,000 which were originally built. The restoration honours the contribution of one of the RAAF’s main bombers of the WWII era. This restored Liberator aircraft was assembled from parts salvaged from B-24M models, manufactured during the 1940s in the USA. Made from aluminium, the plane is 68 feet long, with a wingspan of 110 feet, and is metallic silver with a distinctive blue and white target design on each side. Photograph, Anzac commemoration for students 1992, 1992
A Legacy ceremony at the Shrine of Remembrance. One of the annual "Anzac Commemoration Ceremony for Students" events, held just prior to ANZAC Day. The ceremony provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain an appreciation of the Anzac spirit, the significance of the Shrine and the meaning of Anzac Day. One photo shows a group of defence personnel in formation facing an official party. One photo shows President George Woodward addressing the crowd from a podium. The proof sheet contains more images of the service, the choir, other speakers, and students holding wreaths. Believed to be 1992 when George Woodward was president and the same year as 00577.A record of a ceremony at the Shrine for school students.Black and white photo x 2 and proof sheet from a schools service at the Shrine in 1992.P12 F on back in blue ink.anzac commemoration for students, wreath laying ceremony
