It was collected to be a record of a photo of past presidents. In World War 2 Legatee Robertson saw service in the AIF in Australia, Middle East and South-West Pacific area. Initially with the 2/16 Aust. Field Coy. R.A.E. and also in the Corps of the Royal Australian Engineers. He was inducted into Legacy in 1960 after being proposed by Legatee Edgar Sherwan and Legatee Syd Birrell. In his professional life he was Engineer in Chief of the Melbourne and Metropolitan Board of Works. The article was part of an album of past presidents from 1965 to 1989. The folder included biographical details and obituaries, eulogies and death notices of prominent Legatees. "Wingrove Cottage" was built 1858/59 for Charles Symons Wingrove, long serving Secretary and Engineer to the Eltham District Road Board and Shire Council. Sitauted on Main Road Eltha, it is on the Victorian Heritage Database and considered locally significant. The frieze was made around 1938 and salvaged from demolition in 1970s. It had been held by Bill Thackray, former City Engineer Port Melbourne, and donated to PMHPS in 2010. There were several of these friezes around the walls of the auditorium of the Port Melbourne Town Hall. Local tailors made these jackets with variations of the city name on the back: Vung Tau, Saigon, Vietnam. This item was purchased and worn by Lance-Corporal Ronald J Stibbe of the Royal Australian Engineers, who served in 1st Field Squadron in Vietnam from 21 Oct 1966 until 10 Oct 1967.Black cotton souvenir jacket with collar and front zip closure. On the back is a map of Vietnam with cities labelled, all in coloured embroidery. Above and below the map is white lettering. The upper sleeves of the jacket are embroidered with a dragon, whilst the front of the jacket features an embroidered tiger head and good luck symbol. Dutton and Wiggs operated a brass and iron foundry known as the Warrnambool Brass and iron Foundry situated in Timor St. Mr Dutton was a mechanical engineer and Mr C Wiggs was an experienced foundry worker. They were innovative in their work and also manufactured a large number of everyday items such as verandah posts, brackets and milk aerators.The significance lies in the fact that the items were manufactured in Warrnambool by a well- established local business. Two solid cast iron rods of cylindrical shape with one flattened edge with name imprinted. Hollowed out section on one end. S. Wiggs W,bool. It is presumed that the spray unit was imported in 1915 and a local manufacturer (unknown) made the wooden barrel and cart and mounted the Ballarat made motor and the imported spray unit.|Following the purchase of the R.E.Gray property, Nunawading Council Engineer, John Herbertson on finding the Spray Unit suggested that it become part of the Implements display at Schwerkolt Cottage.Myer Orchard Spray. It consist of the spray unit which is driven by a Ronaldson-Tippet Motor. The large wooden barrel spray container (mounted on the cart) contained approx 100 gallons of highly corrosive spray (hence the use of wood).
