Hilda was born in Wandin Yallock in 1899 and was the eldest daughter of William and Frances sebire.. She died on 14th August 2906. aged seven years in Wandin Yallock. The Leviny women at Buda in Castlemaine were keen collectors of artworks by women printmakers from the early twentieth century.Ursula Ridley Walker is a little know Australian woman artist who was working in many artistic fields during the first part of the twentieth century. Frederick Charles “Fred” Griffith was born in Albury, NSW on 2 March 1910. Educated in Albury and Geelong Grammar. Beginning in 1927 he spent many years working first as a jackeroo and on a range of prominent pastoral and merino stud properties in NSW and Queensland. In 1935 he repurchased his former family property “Toonallook", Bowna, NSW and developed it to be the largest Romney Marsh stud in the world, exporting rams to Argentina. He introduced many innovative practices on his property including rabbit control measures and aerial crop dusting. He was an active member of the Albury Show Society and in 1949 established the Albury Sheep Show. Fred was also the Albury representative on the Graziers’ Association Council for over 30 years. He became a life member of both the Albury and Commercial Clubs. Fred’s greatest hobby was snow skiing. His first visit to the snow was to Kosciusko in 1919. The Albury Ski Club was formed in 1935 and Fred was an inaugural member. In 1949 they were granted a site at Falls Creek to build their own lodge. Fred guaranteed the Club for finance from the Bank of NSW. The first portion of the prefabricated building was constructed in Albury. It was transported to Falls Creek on the back of Fred’s truck and erected in one day. This was the bathroom section and the rest was completed in 1950. The original lodge was burned down in 1952 and a new one built the following year. In 1955, Fred also built the Bowna Lodge for his family in partnership with David Fairbairn. He became head of the North Eastern District Skiing Association (N.E.D.S.A.) and successfully applied to run the Australian Ski Championships. Fred also inaugurated children’s races at Falls Creek and ran them for about 20 years. He also formed the company “Falls Creek Ski Tows”. In 1956 Fred along with a group of key people selected the site for Thredbo Village. Fred and his brother sold Toonallook in sections between 1951 and 1974. He moved to Albury and set up as a landscape gardener and fencing contractor. After a serious work accident, Fred retired in 1985 and moved to Rosebud, Victoria where he died on 19 August 1992. This book contains private letters which G. S. Mackay wrote to his daughter, Meta? and his aunt in the 1920’s. G. S. Mackay was born in Sutherlandshire Scotland in 1850. He qualified as a solicitor and came to Australia in 1884 and later to Warrnambool in 1893. He served as a Warrnambool City Councillor and also held a number of important positions within the Presbyterian Church. He was one of the earliest and strongest supporters of the Warrnambool High School. Many of the letters within this book are to his daughter who studied medicine in Glasgow in the early 1900’s. G. S Mackay was prominent in legal, civic and religious life in Warrnambool almost from the time of his arrival in 1893 until his death in 1926. Many of these letters are of a religious nature and as such display that aspect and personal thoughts of Mr Mackay’s personal life. This quilt was created by Ms Shirley Critchley, c.1960. it was made in a wagga style from unpicked knitted jumpers that Shirley would repurpose. Some of these jumpers were from her daughters out growing their garments, while others were from jumpers Shirley would find at opportunity stores. One of Shirley’s daughters, Jane McGrath, followed in her mother’s footsteps and begun quilting with Shirley’s guidance. One of Jane’s first quilts, the “Tartan Fabric Sample Quilt” is located within the National Wool Museum’s collection (REG 8282). Multicoloured wagga style quilt. The quilt’s top layer is made from unpicked knitted woollen jumpers. These jumpers are in a variety of colours including yellow, blue, green, and red. Some blocks are a single colour, while others have been knitted with a different secondary colour such as grey or white to give noise. The quilt has an unknown insulating fabric. It shares its backing fabric with the material used to bind the edges together. This material is a woollen blanket in a tartan pattern of a blue background with green and red lines. Dress worn by Mary (Molly) Sprunt on marriage to John (Jack) Leith on 12 March 1938 at St Andrews Presbyterian Church, Rushworth. Veil was handmade by mother Madge Brydon in 1912 for her wedding. Dress and veil donated by Molly's daughter. Dress also worn by sister - Lyndsay (Lyn) Sprunt for her marriage to George Hendrie on 10 November 1945 at St John's Church Elsternwick. Elizabeth WEBBER nee EDDY. c1851 - 1928, the daughter of James & ... EDDY was born in Cornwall cl 851. At the time of her marriage she was living at her father's home in Ballarat where James EDDY was a ginger beer manufacturer. Elizabeth, who was 21 years of age exchanged marriage vows with the Reverend Samuel Phelp WEBBER on 4th April 1871. The groom who had left Cornwall in April 1869, was 29 years of age.| The wedding rites, performed by the Rev. Richard WARREN, were those of the Bible Christian Church which at a later date combined with various branches of the Wesleyian to become at the end of the 19'h century, the Methodist Church of Australia.| During Samuel's ministry, he and his wife moved around Victoria - in the goldfields of Ballarat & Sandhurst, later named Bendigo; Horsham and Daylesford and a city parish in Fitzroy. He was also (sic) President Conference B.C.C.| Samuel died during the summer of 1897, on the 14th February, St| Valentine's Day.| It is thought by a family member that this couple had five children, three girls and two boys.| After his death, Elizabeth who was confined to a wheel chair lived with her children. While visiting a daughter in Adelaide she died on Christmas Eve 1928.| Elizabeth,' with a younger daughter made baby wear to augment their income. This daughter's daughter, Beryl married W. These books were owned and used by sisters, Hilda and Elsa Wehner who were the daughters of Hermann Wehner, early Orbost blacksmith. Sir James Cantlie was a Scottish physician who was a pioneer of First Aid.These first aid guides produced by the St John Ambulance, the largest teacher of first aid in Australia, were an important addition to the home library and used regularly. Two small books on first aid. Both books are published by St John Ambulance Association. 1829.1 is First Aid to the Injured - a small book with a black cover. It is the 37th edition. 227pp. It was written by Colonel Sir James Cantlie. 1829.2 is Home Nursing - a small book with a brown cover. 272pp. It was written by Mildred Heather-Bigg. The title and spine printing is white on both books.1829.1 has Hilda Wehner written inside the front cover. 1829.2 has Elsa Wehner written inside the front cover.

Shield was presented to R.L. Holland by children and parents of District in appreciation of 12 years of valued services to Mackie's School. 78 years later, after this presentation, his daughter donated it to the Wycheproof Historical Society.
