From shadows is late in the afternoon. Date of photo taken based on the series of photos received from the ARHS as being during Oct. and Dec. 1965. On Kodak paper. W3's were not based or attached to Essendon and would thus appear to be a visiting tram, but in service due to the presence of a run number. Bus timetable for Davis Urban Services Ballarat, route 15 on light green duplicating paper. Route 15 - Sturt St. West to and from City. Not dated, but probably c1975, as Davis have moved to their "then" new depot in Norman St. Ballarat. Timetable gives times for departure to and the terminals, notes on intermediate times, notes on variations to standard arrangements and location of terminals. On Sunday, the bus served the Botanical Gardens area and route 15A, which served Lake Wendouree by Gardens Kiosk. Has a Davis bus logo - poppet head and bus. Was designed to be folded in the centre. Set of seven Rose Series Heritage postcards in a strip production featuring Bendigo Victoria. Each black and white postcard features an historic view of Bendigo from older Rose Series or Valentine's postcards and are perforated on the top and bottom so they can be separately used. Copy of a letter and associated documents written to the Town Clerk, City of Ballaarat, dated Aug 1, 1985 seeking the support of the Council in attaining the body of the tramcar in Ballarat East. (Tram was actually obtained in December). Signed by the Secretary, Richard Gilbert. Mentions Frank Hanrahan as President for further information. Enclosed within letter is a two page note on BTPS Letter head outlining the history of the tramcar, its restoration, current condition, possible operation and value of the restoration. Attached as well is a folded drawing out an Adelaide double deck horse tram (Reference Reg. Item No. 706.1 ) and a photocopy of the builders of the first horse tram at the depot in 1887 (Reference Reg. Item No. 765 ). "Ballarat, Electricity and the State Electricity Commission" photocopied from an original. Has typed under the heading over white out correction fluid "Notes - Draft notes prepared by Robert W. P. Ashley 1989." The paper gives the history of power supply in Ballarat, including street lighting, ESCo, AC and DC power supplies, the takeover by the SEC, Ballarat A and B power stations, a copy of an advertisement for the SEC in Ballarat. Yields information about the style and printing of tickets used in Ballarat and Bendigo tramways and how they were presented.1721 - Block of 200 tickets - black ink on off white paper, denomination 13c, lettered B278000 to B 278199, headed State Electricity Commission of Victoria, Provincial Tramways. On rear in black ink is a SEC advertisement "ELECTRICITY makes life easier" with the SEC's little boy wrapped in a towel logo. The 200 tickets have been stapled onto a heavy cardboard back with a heavy metal staple and a small cardboard retaining strip at the top of the ticket. The 13c ticket was green from 1/9/1966 until the fare change in Jan. 1969. Mounted black and white photograph of 19 uniformed ESCo employees and two or three non-uniformed employees in front of the Australian Tramway Employees Association (Employees) Banner possibly at the time of a Union or Labor Day Parade, Ballarat. Photograph 145H x 189W. The banner contains a painted image of Prahran and Malvern Municipal Tramways, (PMTT) C class No. 30. Date - 1914? Image 1 of the photograph and part of the mounting.
