This would be the last carnival until the 1947 carnival in Hobart due to WWII, which Victoria also won. The coach was Edith Hull (not listed on photo). The 1940 interstate carnival was held in Melbourne.The coach was Edith Hull, who throughout the 1930s was heavily involved in women's basketball in Victoria. As mentioned before this was the last interstate carnival for 7 years due to World War 2, however Queensland invited states and touring teams for a carnival in 1941, this was declined as it seemed to be ill advised as they focused their attentions to raising funds through war appeals. It was probably made to be placed on the head table at meetings of the Naval Association of Australia.A cut of the Naval Association of Australia Badge attached to a wooden background set on a wooden base. The badge has a King's Crown on top indicating that it is pre 1954. Provision is made in the side for flags to be inserted. It has the Australian Flag mounted on one side and Royal Navy Flag on the opposite side. -

Robert Summerton Games served in the Boer War with the 5th Victorian Mounted Rifles No 1614. He enlisted again in WW1 and served with the 5th Australian Light Horse and also the 4th Camel Regiment. Ribbon bar for Queen South Africa and King South Africa Medals, Rosette made of cloth in the colours of the QSA. Also cardboard Qld railway pass dated 6th May 1919. Ashbourne is one of Derbyshire's fines and most vibrant market towns. It combines a wealth of historic buildings and shops. The Market Place is cobbles with hidden alleys and yards that lead to the carparks behind the main street. The wide and elegant Church Street is considered to be the finest street of Georgian buildings in Derbyshire. Tissington Hall and Village are in the nearby vicinity. Built by Francis Fitzherbert in 1609 Tissington Hall has been lived in by the Fitzherbert family ever since. The estate village has a number of micro businesses and a beautiful duck pond. She was a cabinet minister in the second Rudd ministry and is now part of the Shadow Cabinet. Gough Whitlam was Australian Prime Minister from 1972 to 1975. The Whitlam government was a reformist government that introduced Medibank, the end of conscription, and free university education. His government was dismissed (parliament was dissolved) on 11 November 1975 by the Governor General Sir John Kerr owing to parliament's failure to pass Appropriation Bills. Malcolm Fraser was appointed as caretaker Prime Minister until an election was held.
