Photograph, c2000s
The photograph records that this image is of Pat White, cataloguer and performer of other duties at Burke Museum for a number of years. Pat White was involved in the Oral History project at Burke Museum and was tasked with transcribing the recordings of elderly Beechworth residents recalling their early days in the town. In 1999 Sunbury Primary School students and staff relocated from the building in Macedon Street, which had been a school site since 1873, to a refurbished heritage building at Jacksons Hill. A modern building replaced the portable classrooms but the Federation style school building remained on the Macedon Street site. The Sunbury Cobaw Community Health Centre and Distinctive Options are in the new building in Macedon Street. Victorian Government institutions have functioned from the Macedon Street site since 1873, when the first State School was built on the site.
