Painting - oil on linen, Rob McHaffie, Word of mouth (Half Moon Bay), 2018
Word of mouth (Half Moon Bay) 2018 is a two-panel work which is the largest painting the artist has made to date. It is a colourful and fun, light-hearted scene of an imaginative party that the artist would love to attend at Half Moon Bay in Black Rock. Depicted in the work are over 30 figures, including international tourists, family and friends of McHaffie as well as famous identities such as musicians David Bowie and Solange Knowles, and fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld. McHaffie’s DJ friend Lucreccia Quintanilla has set up a DJ deck and speakers on the beach while the party goers are wading in the shallow waters, dancing on the cliff and mingling on the beach in what appears to be an idyllic summer’s day in Bayside.oil on linen (diptych)painting, beach, half moon bay, black rock, bayside, coast, party, rob mchaffie, dj, dance, musician, karl lagerfeld, david bowie, solange knowles, lucreccia quintanilla, port phillip bay, word of mouth, mooji, jon campbell, tourists, family, friends, cliff, rocks, water -

Book - Our Edmondson Family - from County Renfrew to Victoria 1848, Rob Mortlock, Bob Polkinghorne, Lorna Polkinghorne
This history of the Edmondson family begins with the journey of George and Isabella Edmondson, with their four children, from County Renfrew via Liverpool to Melbourne in 1848. After some time at the Bendigo goldfields, George and his second wife, Margaret Boyd, moved to the Yackandandah area. Later family members settled in various areas of Victoria, with one descendant, Ern Edmondson being a member of the ANZAC forces. Particular mention is made of Maud Cadman, an octogenarian family member, and source of much family information. The story is profusely illustrated with photographs of family members, and, in particular, a photograph of a New Testament, presented to Margaret Boyd aboard the ship that brought her to Australia in 1852.non-fictionThis history of the Edmondson family begins with the journey of George and Isabella Edmondson, with their four children, from County Renfrew via Liverpool to Melbourne in 1848. Photograph - Portrait - Graham Middleton, Rob Elliott, 1991 - 1992
Graham Wells Middleton was born in Corryong in Northeast Victoria in 1935. He was the first person to swim the length of the Murray River. He began on November 30th 1991 at Bringenbong, near Corryong. After completing a distance of 2366 kilometres over 138 consecutive days, Graham finished his marathon swim in Lake Alexandrina, South Australia on April 14th 1992. This feat was recognised in The Guiness Book of Records and was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Corryong. His motivation was to raise money to help children with cancer. In the process he raised $100,000 for cancer research which made Graham Middleton the first individual in Australia to raise $100,000 for the cause. In the weeks and months after his swim ended, donations continued to be made, with the final total exceeding $200,000. The proceeds raised by the swim were donated to " Kids 'n' Cancer" and the Australian Rotary Health Research Fund. Graham Middleton died on October 27, 1995This photo is significant as Graham Middleton was a resident of Northeast Victoria who made an outstanding contribution to the community and to supporting medical research as a result as the Murray River swim depicted in this image.A black and white photo of Graham Middleton, a marathon swimmer who swam the Murray River.
