The main body would form a type of "A" frame style. The right side has strong US pattern press clips to keep it shut. It has a mattress (probably Kapok) which is clipped in and is formed of 14 cotton covered cells. The bottom of each cell has a black waterproof material. It has a black waterproof 'Neck' with cord and toggle. The flap that covers the top has a zippered pocket. The two sides of the pack have pouches. These have a flap that is held shut with a zip. At the bottom of the pack is an arrangement of 25mm black nylon straps, to hold a tent or bed roll for example. On the top flap is the commercial brand name "Vertical".
