Soft covered booklet of 41 pages covering the Open Monument by John Young. 'Open Monument' comprises 2 artworks: A 33 laser-etched granite paneled work, 'transculture', and 'Timeline' which extends of 40 metres and depicts the major contributions of the Chinese community in Ballarat, every decade from 1850 until the present. The timeline then folds out with anticipation to 2070.
Each page describes aspects of the monument and the Chinese influence. An timeline of Chinese influence is given at the back of the book.
