The de Havilland Australia DHA-3 Drover is a small transport aircraft that was built by de Havilland Australia (DHA) in the 1940s and 1950s. TAA received the first two of its eventual three Drovers in 1952 - the third in 1956. The Drover became one of the types of planes used by the Royal Flying Doctor Service in the 1950s. TAA’s first Viscount, VH-TVA, arrived in Australia from England on 5 October 1954. Tragically, that airplane crashed in a training accident in the same month. TAA maintained confidence in Viscounts and continued to use them until 1962.
