Historical information
TAA’s first Viscount, VH-TVA, arrived in Australia from England on 5 October 1954. Tragically, that airplane crashed in a training accident in the same month. TAA maintained confidence in Viscounts and continued to use them until 1962. TAA operated from its inception in 1946 as a Federal Government owned airline until its merger with Qantas in 1992.This postcard is one of five TAA airline postcards which are in turn part of an album of postcards which date from late 19th century to mid 20th century.
