Handwritten notes include:
“2 acres of land for this school given as a gift by Mrs W.S. Williams. Tenders were called for the work of building of the school and the successful tenderer was Mr E. S. Murray, Builder of Ringwood. The contract price accepted being £679.10.0. The school was opened on the 24th October 1923 and the first head teacher was Mr Rowland J. Mason. Increased to 5 acres 1958.”
And notes by Ellie Pullen:
“Tree planted in the school grounds 1955 – lemon scented gum. "
"RP (Ron Pullin) made a memorable return to Gallipoli in 1936 while serving with the navy in HMAS “Australia”. His ship together with the HMAS “Sydney” took the first Australian servicemen to Gallipoli to commemorate the 21st Anniversary of the landing”
