Physical description

Pair of curved metal forceps. Instrument loosely resembles a pair of scissors with two oval shaped finger handles atop a metal shaft. There is a short metal tab on the inside edge of each handle which lock to each other to allow the forceps to be secured in certain positions. There is a pin approximately two thirds of the way along the shaft, after which the arms of the forceps curve gently to one side. Each arm ends in a claw type point, with a dip in the middle and sharp points on either side. The inner aspect of one arm of the forceps is engraved with the text 'MAYER & MELTZER'.
