Tram services closed the following Sunday. The 8 page feature in a single sheet of newsprint, with one half printed upside down to the other half. Includes numerous photos of the trams, one of the last staff photo, and item called "1927 and all that" with the memories of Basil Miller, Senior Traffic Inspector. 2nd copy of the feature section added 12/10/2007 ex Graeme Breydon. 1038.1- copy of the Bendigo Advertiser of April 13 1972 - 16 pages, including the supplement. The supplement section has been "torn" down the middle of the single sheet. Has a single truck tram in the photo heading along Bridge St. for the city. Caption notes that the work was being done in preparation for the bus service introduction. Page 1 - Sunday, p2 - Saturday, p3 - weekdays. Gives IN and OUT times for each route and notes if from depot etc. Understood to be SECV photocopy. 285.1 - ditto, but actual wax stencil copy on duplicating paper used by Driver / Conductor J. Has a strong association with tram crews and the rosters crew workings, possibly inspector Dave Kellett in Ballarat. Prepared by crews from sheets to enable them to know what service times to run, meal times, details of crew changes etc, based on their allocated shift or run from the roster.Notebooks used to record rosters/ runs for crews for the March 1970 roster Ballarat on Sundays .Pocket Notebook - green cover, faint ruled, up to 100 pages per book, cloth bound at the top, contained within a black plastic notebook holder/folder. A Calendar for 1970, by 'The Mutual Life and Citizen' Assurance Company Limited" is positioned on the inside within a clear plastic sheet. The Notebook is headed "Sundays" Has the hand written details of each SEC Ballarat runs, Sundays runs, - giving sign on times, notes, timetables, which run taken or taken by, meal times, notes with regard to special instructions, finish times and notes. Most pages at the front of the notebook have been removed. On the rear sheets are the sign on times for the crews, time out of the depot, and the time into the depot and from which terminus. Demonstrates aspects of the Ballarat Tramways in the middle of the 2nd world war - when the tramway traffic was at its peak. Gives details of working hours, tram operations and services for the week. Shows the additional trams to the basic service on Weekdays.Set of five type foolscap sheets - landscape format, along with a set of carbon copies, of the "On and Off" times dated 12 October 1944. Details the sign on / sign off times for each run or table number operated by Motormen / Conductors, where the first service went to, where it came in from if applicable, the number of trips it did to terminus eg G for Gardens, V for Victoria St and the total miles of that run or table. The Miles have been typed in red ink to give a column breakup. Sheets for Basic Service Weekdays, Middle Runs - Mondays to Thursdays - (additional services am, lunch, PM and theatre), Middle runs for Fridays, Middle Runs Saturdays, and Sundays. Gives information on the rostering of the tramcars themselves, how many miles per day , the number of trams required and the total week operation and a comparison to previous services.Typed sheet, carbon copy, titled "Mileage and Order out of Depot", dated 3-1970. Gives the run number order of the tramcars out of the depot, the time out and the number of miles for the day (would have other runs within it), for Weekdays, Saturday and Sundays. The Public Transport Corporation (PTC) was a Victoria State Government owned statutory authority formed under the Transport Act 1983 which operated passenger and freight trains, trams and bus services. It was established on 1 July 1989. This memo was effective as from Sunday 16th May, 1993 and pertained to rules instructions and operating procedures regarding air brake equipment and train examination requirements. As noted on the cover: "Part One - Supersedes Automatic air brake rules, pages 479-495 of Book of rules and regulations. -- Part Two - Supersedes Air brake orders, pages 189-198 of General appendix." The cover bears the signatures of M. Digging, Safeworking Superintendent and G. De Bont, Group Manager, Freight Fleet Maintenance.A booklet with a red cover and black print.
