Series of four Black and white photographs of tram 26 on No. 2 road at the BTPS Depot, undergoing replacement of the broken frame on the Brill 21E truck. The tramcar record sheets note that the car was lifted 15-3-1975 and lower 27-7-1975 and tested on the same day. Set of 4 drink coasters, with a blue felt back gold plastic front with an impression of a Melbourne tram contained within a black finished cardboard box. Each coaster has the imprint of the Melbourne Tourism logo, 150 years of Melbourne, produced for the Victoria's 150th celebrations 1984-85. Box has the Australian Made logo in gold printing. The coasters feature: Z3 class - 1980 - has a Stephen Daly trademark logo on the rear. W2 class - 1927 R Class - 1266 (Melbourne cable tram) - 1885 x 2 No. T class - 1917 Coasters finished with square corners, while those of the earlier production finished with rounded corners. Black and white photograph of 2 trams in Swanston St c1925. Building in background may be the Queen Victoria hospital which places the trams just north of Lonsdale St. Photo has imperfection in top left corner of the image. First tram No. 171 is an S class single-truck California combination tram built by MMTB at Coburg Depot. It entered service in June 1922 and was withdrawn from service and sold in 1953. The tram's destination is shown as "Coburg Cemetery". Several passengers are seen boarding the tram. See page 64 of Destination City 5th Edition for another photo of this tram at South Melbourne Depot. The second tram, 178, is a T class single-truck combination tram with a long saloon, built by Duncan & Fraser, Adelaide for the MBCTT. It entered service in June 1917 as tram number 14C before transfer to the MMTB as T class tram. It was withdrawn from service and sold in 1961. This tram was one of only 6 Melbourne trams fitted with long wheelbase Brill Radiax truck. Set of six documents associated with a Wattle Park band recital by the AIF Legion of Anzacs band on Sunday 17 October 1943 in support of the 4th Liberty Loan. .1 - printed poster advertising the afternoon and travel by tram from Princes Bridge. .2 - duplicated notice from the Assistant Manager to Depots dated 13/10/1943 about the bus to be used to transport band members from Elizabeth St to Wattle Park - Central Bus Depot - notes the bus had been specially prepared for the event. .3 - typed notice from the District Traffic Superintendent to Hawthorn and Camberwell depots about special trams for the event and arrangements for conductors. Yields information about the reconstruction of the depot trackwork during 1935/1936 and the condition of the rails, types of rails and methodsSet of 5 Black and white photo prints from collected negatives of the relaying of the depot fan at the SEC Ballarat depot building, during refurbishment by the SEC during 1935 or 1936. 1351.1 - Wendouree Parade depot junction, track - relaying the 2nd set of points. One track was still useable at the time. Note fences and tools lying around the work area. 1351.2 - laying out the trackwork for two and three roads, note machines and cylinders in background. 1351.3 - looking along No. 2 road out of the depot doors, not connected, possibly taken some time after 1351.2, as the area appears to be cleaned up. 1351.4 - Photo showing the various rail weights for possibly the western rail on No. 3 road and how the fishplates were at the time of the photograph. Not known whether this was the final arrangement, taken looking towards the depot building. 1351.5 - ditto but from the other end - note the damaged flangeway on the depot end rail - horse tram rail?
