A photo of the 'Widow and Children' statue in 1998. The 'Widow and Children' statue was sculpted by Louis Laumen, a Melbourne artist. The statue stands on a granite plinth in the cruciform shaped garden. There is a plaque which reads: "Legacy Garden of Appreciation. A living tribute to the generous support of Victorians for the work of Legacy. The sculpture symbolises the work of Legacy caring for the widows and children of veterans.
