Pottery Mug
Willem-Alexander was the first child born to Crown Princess Beatrix and Prins Claus. Willem-Alexander became King of the Netherlands in 2013 on the abdecation of his mother Queen Beatrix.Cream coloured vase-shaped souvenir mug commemorating birth of Willem-Alexander of Orange on 27 April, 1967.Willem Alexander's coat of arms on an orange, white and blue banner is surmounted by a bouquest of orange branches. Underneath is the inscription 27 April 1967 Willem-Alexander. On the other side the Dutch National flag and an Orange Banner are crossed against the background of a colourful tree. -

Set of 6 Coffee Cups and Saucers
Cups are individually marked 5139(a) to 5139(f). Each carries 2 different blue-painted illustrations of regional costumes: (a and b) Volendam and Marken; (c and e) Staphorst and Nunspeet; (d and f) Middelburg and Spakenburg. Saucers are marked 5139(g) to 5139(l) and are plain white.Four cups carry the number 16 stamped on the bottom and two the number 15. -

Colourfully painted saucer showing the Mint in Amsterdam with flower market in the foreground and the words "Tulpen uit Amsterdam" beside the Dutch flag on one of the stalls.'De Munt Amsterdam Holland' on main picture. A stamp on the reverse side shows a crown with "Royal" on its front, "Schwabap" inside. "Handdecorated" appears above the crown. Below the crown we read "1984 Ter Steege BV. Holland". -

Herring Cart (haringkarretje)
Souvenir, home made with jigsaw, celebrating Dutch national delicacy. These carts are seen in streets and markets throughout the Netherlands during herring season.Balsa wood model of a herring cart with 2 spoked wheels. Main body has two compartments covered with circular lids, surmounted by rack holding 3 herring barrels in the Dutch national colours of red ,white and blue. At top of rack a fish-shaped advertising salt and sour herrings. Main body also has a support at both ends and a handle for pushing the cart. At other end is preparation area with a hole for discarding fish waste into the bucket which is hanging below. A checked tea towel hangs off the preparation area. Next to the cart is white pot with a lid possibly for holding chopped onions. -

Cigar Mould (Sigaren Plank), early 20th Century
Dutch cigar industry was prominent in the eastern part of Noord Brabant in towns like Helmond.Dutch colonial history. Cigar smoking was popular amongst Dutch men5784(a) and 5784 (b) are two pieces made of wood (presumed to be pine). 20 slots to mould the cigars. Bottom piece has deeper slots for the cigars. The two pieces are not solid pieces of wood. The bottom piece is made from two boards/pieces of wood stuck together with aeration space left in between. The top piece has 20 individual moulds/slot glued on. The two pieces can be locked in via three wooden pegs into their corresponding slots On the back of the lower board/piece - there are two holes lined with metal rings (diameter of 1cm) Note that the size given applies when the two pieces are fitted together.On the top board - There is stamped the numeral "53". To the left of this number, we have the manufacturer's circular logo with details - L. Bezemer & Zn. N.V. Cocoa Tin/Cacaobus, Period between 1945 and 1989
Information on the tin suggests it was produced primarily for the German market.A colonial product processed in The Netherlands. Cylinderical tin brightly decorated with painted scenes of people enjoying cocoa in a variety of situations in the early 20th century. The lid has been painted with a coat of arms based on the Dutch coat of arms but with cocoa tree instead of orange tree. Queen Beatrix came to the Dutch throne upon the abdication of her mother Queen Juliana of the House of Orange-Nassau on April 30, 1980. She herself abdicated on April 30, 2013 in favour of her eldest son Prince Willem Alexander or Prince of Orange. A rectangular glass covered printed image of Queen Beatrix in a wooden frame. -

The 1883 date refers to the establishment of the Royal Dutch Cricket Association. Represents a link between Anglo-Dutch sporting connections.Small brown wooden shield with a plastic medallion in black, yellow and gold.Circular medallion displaying two crossed cricket bats in front of a wicket with a crown above them. Below this is the date "1883" and along the bottom half is the name of the association. Rear has a mounting hole. On back of shield is a sticker which names the manufacturer of the shield. -

TourismHow people went on holiday. A memento of simple holidays. The tradition of camping as the holiday of choice.calico, triangular pennant. One edged in blue, the other in red.4089.R1 - blue edged pennant, showing the tourist sites around a place called Epen in the southern part of the province of Limburg. This is known because the name of the town is in large red letters. Three locations shown 1. Kamper Boerderij - A farm providing camping grounds. 2. Kasteel Beusdael - The Beusdael Castle 3. Wingbergermoelen - Wingberger Mill Also a little tent beneath the name of the town, with refers to the camping holiday. Also a maker's mark on the pennant, a small triangle with the letters L, A & B within it. 4089.R2 - red edged pennant, showing the area around Vaals in Limburg province, the name is in large red letters. The scene shows the meeting point between the Netherlands, Germany & Belgium - "Drie Landen Punt" (Three Country Meeting Point) Also shows the height of the viewing point (193m), as well showing other features including: - Hotel Bellevue - Uitzichttoren - viewing tower - Panorama Aken - Panorama of Aachen, Germany - Spoorbrug-Moresnet - Railwaybridge-Moresnet in Belgium. Small makers mark. Black triangle, possible the same as that shown in the other pennant, though obscured. -

Refers to the 25th anniversary of the reign of Queen Juliana of the Netherlands.Shows fondness/affection of the Dutch public to their royal family.Pewter; circular with a rose petal edge.Embossed likeness of Queen Juliana which states above the image: "Koningin Der Nederlanden" - Queen of The Netherlands below the image: 1948 - Juliana - 1973 - likely referring to the 25th year of her reign. On the back of the plate: A pewter strip welded onto the plate to allow hanging via a hole in that strip. A makers mark at bottom of plate - "KdBR" featuring an angel with clarion/trumpet and holding palm branch.
