Also demonstrates the administration of a locally based welfare fund.Carbon copy of a hand written list dated 23-4-1953 of 59 people on the front and two on the rear showing payment to the Ballarat Tramway "Welfare Club Payment". Payment appears to total 12 pounds 4 shillings. See also Reg item 6312 for a June 1952 list. Handwritten on ruled paper which has been folded into four. Yields information about the Ballarat tramway staff, in addition to the crews. Gives address and telephone details of the time and the list of names who were employed in undertaking the tramway service. Does not list depot or track crews or revenue clerks.Carbon copy of a typed list of SEC Ballarat Tramways staff, mid to late 1960's, giving Name, position, Address and Phone number. Dated 10th Feb. 19??, the last two digits having been torn off when tape removed. Consists of one large sheet of paper with a small sheet containing 4 names taped to the bottom of the main sheet. Mounted black and white photograph of 30 uniformed ESCo Ballarat employees in a room seated or standing in four rows.. Date on rear of photo mounting is 1915. Different image and arrangement of employees to that in Reg Item 708 and 2238. Image 1 of the photograph and part of the mounting. Print 152H x 200W. Mounting is cardboard with a depressed photo mount area, with actual printed surrounded by another sheet of white paper (now off white). Cardboard has a light grey colour finish. On the bottom right hand side is the photographers name "Richards & Co., Ballarat". Image 2 - mounting and photograph showing general condition of the mounting. Gives a list of names of people who worked on the Ballarat trams in the final 19 months of operations, some personal information and grade.Carbon copy of a typed list of SEC Ballarat Tramway traffic list dated 5 Feb. 1970, with hand alterations. Titled "SECV - Mid Western Electricity Supply Branch - Tramways Traffic Personnel (Wages)", gives a list of names, traffic number, position, date joined, date of birth, date passed as motorman, long service leave (taken or entitlement?) and whether a returned soldier - using letter "R.S." Three shown as "D.S." - disabled solider? The Adult Deaf and Dumb Society of Victoria, now known as Vicdeaf, (the Victorian Deaf Society), was founded in 1884 as the Victorian Society for Promoting the Spiritual and Temporal Welfare of the Adult Deaf and Dumb.
