St. Mary's Anglican Church at Bulla was originally built on the outskirts of Bulla township in 1858. In the early 1970s it was moved to its present site to make way for the flight path at the newly constructed Tullamarine Airport. The former site was on the corner of Oaklands and Sunbury Roads and is covered with vegetation. The church was designed by Thomas Taylor.A profile view of the west side of St. Mary's Anglican Church at Bulla and the garden area around the church. Vanity mirrors have been used for centuries as a common bathroom item. They can be large framed mirrors with ornately decorated frames or small pocket sized ones to assist in personal grooming on the go. Magnification of the mirror on one side enabled easier application of makeup. Mirrors such as this one became popular in the 1970s. This item is representative of women's accessories in the early years of the Twentieth century.A two-sided vanity mirror on a swivel stand. One side is a magnifying mirror. The mirrors are mounted in a silver alloy frame and a porcelain base. It is understood that the plate was used by Samuel Lewers and his family when they lived at Traquair House (1861-1895). The plate was given by Stella Surman, who lived at Traquair House in the 1960s and 1970s, to her foster son Graeme Dunn. Marks on the plate indicate it was manufactured by Pinder, Bourne & Co in Staffordshire, England.Round dinner plate, white in centre, 5cm wide decorative border (hand-painted?), images in "Chinese" style depict leaves, vases & medallions, in colours orange-red, brown, & black. On back of plate: Maker's mark consists of laurel & crown, with the letters "PB & Co"and the name of pattern, "Tycoon". Manufacturer's name PINDER, BOURNE & CO. also imprinted on back of plate. There have been wet periods when floods were frequent and covered the floodplain, sometimes causing great disruption to crops and farming, and also to transport. Waddingtons is a famous card and board manufacturer. It commenced business in 1927 and produced jig-saw puzzles from the mid 1930s. Their Christmas, Map, and circular jig-saw series were their most popular jig-saws. It served as a grain storage provision for the local cereal farmers.The former CFA depot which was in Evans Street.
