Kate Hudson's highly patterned and decorative prints reflect her love of Australian birds and flowers from her immediate environment, as well as oriental art and her training in textile design. Her work is influenced by the Australian artist (printmaker) Margaret Preston and the vases depicted in her prints are based on the ceramic works of her husband Stephen Hudson. The wattle depicted is the Acacia Terminalis (Sunshine Wattle), a shrub or small tree that grows to six meters in height. Comprising plain paper end papers and 104 printed pages (52 leaves), with each sheet printed in black on feint ruled paper for recording the hours worked and other details of drivers and conductors employed by ESCo. Printed for daily use, with Day and date page headings - made out for the 1930's. Set of 12 coloured views of Ballarat printed with six photos on either side of a folded strip of paper glued within an embossed paper folder. Published by Nucolorvue Productions Vic., titled "A Souvenir of Beautiful Ballarat". Front cover has a colour rural scene, title, address area and on base of cover "12 Specially Selected Views in Full Colour". Rear of Cover has a part of a colour scene as well and a slit for the envelope to be closed over and sealed. Black and white block mounted photograph of the ESCo Ballarat employees as a group in front of the depot in winter uniform - possibly soon after opening of the electric tram service. Has an ESCo cross bench tram on the right hand side of the photograph and possibly on the left hand side. Behind the group are ESCo trams 8 and 11. Photograph is sepia toned, faded and has pen marks across the surface. Block mounting, dark grey colour has square corners, with fawn coloured sheet between photograph and cardboard mount. Has a strong association with the work of the Royal South Street Society, who published a handbook or manual for their competitions. Has a number of parked vehicles in kerbs, two people riding horses, a Vacuum Oil Co. truck in the bottom right hand corner and an SEC tram travelling west, just past the City Loop points. Demonstrates part of the evolution of Ballarat's trams when they were drawn from cable trailers of North Sydney for use as the central section of ESCo's Ballarat trams.4373 - Black and White sepia coloured reproduction (copy by scanning and reprinting) of a image of "The Sandhurst & Eaglehawk Electric Tramway" battery tram, with five men (two in uniform) standing alongside. Cans see the letters "No." Note the unpaved streets.
