Stained glass window, south wall, main nave (adjacent to the pulpit). The window is a pictorial representation of St Andrew who live to old age. There is a tradition that on being sentenced to death, he requested that he be crucified on a saltire (diagonal cross, see base of window) as he felt unworthy to be crucified on the vertical cross of Christ. Another symbol of association with St Andrew is the fishing net.The Rev. Andrew Peacock, Archdeacon of the Otways, was the fourth Vicar (1906-1912) of the Parish of Warrnambool. He was highly regarded throughout the community and died following a very short illness. His brother, Sir Alexander Peacock, three times premier of Victoria, officially unveiled a tablet on the north-west corner of the Parish Hall complex on Saturday 25th April and attended the dedication of the memorial window on Sunday 26th April 1913. Rev AE Peacock is buried at Creswick cemetery, Victoria.

Elizabeth Edith Mack was born to parents William & Elizabeth (nee Wilmont) Hatton, in approx. 1873 in Moyston, Victoria. She married Frederick David Mack (a wool and skin buyer) in approx. 1903. Frederick Mack was born in 1968 in Warrnambool to parents Joseph and Louisa Mary (nee Despard) Mack. Joseph served as Shire Secretary. The Mack family (including Elizabeth and Frederick) occupied the same sandstone house in the town for more than a century. They had at least 5 children. Elizabeth Edith Mack died in Warrnambool in 1931 aged 58 years. The Circular Memorial Window was erected in her memory by her children. Elizabeth and Frederick's son, Ronald, became The Honorable Sir Ronald (William) Mack, M.L.C. President of the Legislative Council of Victoria. He was knighted in 1967 (the first Warrnambool -Born person to be so honoured) while Minister for Health and regarded the care of the Mentally Ill of prime importance but also the care of the aged. He was given a state funeral after his death in 1968, the service being conducted at Christ Church.The Mack family was a prominent pioneer family in Warrnambool. Her son Ronald William Mack was the first Warrnambool-born person to be knighted.Circular stained glass window above five lancet windows in the west wall of the second nave, depicts 'Christ Ascending in Glory'. Peacock Hall was opened by Premier Alexander Peacock. Stained glass windows by Amalie Feild (later Colquhoun).are located across both ends of the hall, as well as Honour boards listing students' war service in both World Wars. Boards along the side walls also list School Captains, Council Members, the Dux of the School as well as University graduates. The memorial mural tablet for the hall was designed by George Dancey. On 19 April 1915, Brighton City Councillor T. Wilson moved to install a roll of honour in the Brighton Town Hall. "The men who had gone to the war deserved all the praise and consideration that could be given them. Nothing could be said too highly in their favour." The Roll of honour was unveiled at the Brighton Town Hall on Armistice Day, 11 November 1928, by the mayor, Cr. H.E. Pullman. It contained the names of the men of the municipality who gave their lives in World War I. A service was conducted by the Brighton Ministers' Association, under the presidency of the Rev. H. B. Hewitt, of St. Andrew's Church, Brighton. The roll of honour was made by H. Goldman Pty, Ltd, a Melbourne cabinet maker and designer who worked exclusively in Australian timbers. The two metal panels/tablets on either side of the honour roll were added at a later date and commemorate those who died in World War II.Polished wood and metal honour board attached to wall in the Brighton Town Hall. The board is a rectangular shape with a semi-circular curved top at the centre. The central section is a dark carved timber Honour Roll for WWI listing the names of Brighton residents who gave their lives in service 1914—1919. To the left and right of the honour roll are black metal panels/tablets that were added at a later date which commemorate those who died in WWII 1939—1945. The central section contains the honour roll of 228 names which are inscribed in gold with black shadow across three panels which are divided by four decorative round columns. The middle panel is arched at the top and under the arch is a decorative wreath in relief containing the City of Brighton crest within it, below which is "LEST WE FORGET" in gold lettering. The top of the left and right wooden panels each have carved decorative eucalyptus foliage and a bow hanging in the middle. A piece of metal with an incised quote "AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN AND IN THE MORNING WE WILL REMEMBER THEM" is attached to the bottom edge of the central section. Below the metal bar on the left and right panels are the dates 1914 and 1919 in gold lettering, and in the centre "TO COMMEMORATE HEROIC & SUPREME SACRIFICE". The cast metal side panels are set back slightly from the central section and contain decorative wreaths at the top and quotes under them. The left panel has the incised inscription "IN GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THOSE WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES IN THE SERVICE OF THEIR COUNTRY IN THE SECOND WORLD WAR 1939—1945" and the right panel reads "GREATER LOVE HATH NO MAN THAN THIS THAT A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIENDS 1939—1945". During World War One, to finance the war the Commonwealth Government had a series of war loans, and then peace loans. To recover the cost of the war and fund soldier pensions the government launched 'Peace Loan' campaigns after the war. The various Shires in each State were given quotas that they were expected to raise. The Central Peace Loan Committee endorsed the issue of a metal tablet to each district which secured its quota. The tablet was made of bronze, and it was to be fixed on the wall of the local municipal building. It bore the name of the town, borough or shire to which it was awarded, and the name of the mayor or president. The inscription explaining the object of the award appeared over the signatures of the Prime Minister and the Treasurer of the Commonwealth. In the case of districts which secured double their quota the tablet also included the Commonwealth coat-of-arms. This plaque was presented to the Shire of Wodonga for exceeding its allocated quota which had been set at £10,000. The Wodonga community subscribed more than £12,845 to the Peace Loans which was acknowledged with the presentation of the plaque.A bronze rectangular plaque with raised text and an border. Built in 1878, the orange polychromatic brick structure replaced a slab building which had been used since 1951. The building has changed little with its handsome bricks buttressed on both sides, a slate roof and a Celtic cross on top of the front gable. The carved wooden pulpit and 18 pews are original. The cathedral-style ceiling is fully lined with tongue-and-groove pine boards and the floor is also pine. The walls have arched oblong leadlight windows. In 1977 the congregaton decided not to join the Uniting Church, whcih amalgamated some Presbyterian churches with all the Methodist and Congregational churches in Australia. Built in 1878, the orange polychromatic brick structure replaced a rude slab building, which had been used as both a church and school since 1851. Earliest settlers, who were Scottish farmers, had worshipped together since 1841 in a barn owned by farmer James Donaldson and led by a layman called Smith.1 However, from 1843, the Reverend Peter Gunn conducted church services. Prominent early church members include the Donaldson, Bell and Cameron families. In 1851, Samuel Furphy (father of author Joseph) built their first church building, a 30 feet x 18 feet (9m x 5.5m) slab structure on half an acre (0.2ha) donated by Mr Donaldson. Conditions could be very uncomfortable in extreme weather.The green slabs of timber and sapling logs, covered partly with mud, had centimetre-wide cracks, allowing rain and wind through, when not blocked out by folds of paper.2 However this did not deter the first couple marrying there in 1857: John Wilson of Nillumbik and Christina Macpherson of Christmas Hills. The Reverend Peter Gunn seldom visited so it was usually left to Andrew Ross, the settlement’s first teacher and founder of the newspaper The Evelyn Observer, to lead the divine services instead.3 In 1877 the settlers raised £355/19/- and hired architect, Charles Maplestone and builder, Mr Self, to construct today’s church building. Each family rented a pew or pews for ten shillings a half-year; they also paid quarterly subscriptions for the minister’s stipend.4 It was not until 1886 that the church celebrated its first wedding, that of John Bell (junior) from Violet Bank and Elizabeth Charlton of Cunis Nillen. The Sunday School’s first recorded meeting was also held that year. In 1892 a weatherboard vestry was built, and the following year John Bell donated a church bell, which the fire brigade used as a warning for several years. Conditions have varied greatly during the century. In 1893 the Reverend Darroch had to travel more than 2000 miles (3220km) to attend to his scattered parishioners. Then in the Depression, the minister Mr Brown, subsisted only on lodgings with no stipend. The Sunday School ceased for many years because of the small population, but reopened in 1949. Thistles signify their Scottish ancestry and the pigeons are a symbol of Pigeon Bank, the Kangaroo Ground farming property where Jessie Cameron was born.5 Other historical ties are seen on two marble memorial tablets and carved wooden chairs dedicated to former members. The Church still has the original Bible with gold edged paper, presented by the women of the congregation in 1871, although it is no longer used.
