Significance
This account book is a record of the early days of the Gembrook Nurseries which were considered, at their height in 1914, to be the largest in the Southern Hemisphere and which had a significant influence on parks, gardens and streetscapes throughout Australia and in other countries.
Physical description
Hardcover account book with grey embossed leather cover, partial leather binding and brown marbled end pages. The book contains tabbed pages labelled A-Z containing a list of accounts, followed by 530 numbered pages. Entries start 12 November 1893 and conclude 15 June 1902.
