Historical information

Scouts from around the world gather for cultural exchange, outdoor activities, leadership development, and global friendship.

The Pan-Pacific Scout Jamborees were pioneering international Scouting events held in the Asia-Pacific region before the formal creation of the Asia-Pacific Scout Region. The 1st Pan Pacific Jamboree was held in Frankston, Victoria from 27th December 1934 to 13th January 1935. This plaque is from the 3rd Australian Jamboree held at Yarra Brae, Wonga Park, Victoria which was held between the 29th December 1949 to 9th January 1949.

These early jamborees laid the groundwork for the establishment of the Asia-Pacific Scout Region in 1956
