Artist’s Statement: "The geology and archaeology of Lake Mungo's Walls of China open a doorway to the past. Mén Gŭ is based on a work by Chinese landscape poet Du Fu (712-770AD) reflecting on time and distance in landscape: universal concepts befitting the world heritage site at Lake Mungo.
Jeannette is an environmental archaeologist and has worked on both archaeology and history of the Willandra Lakes."
