Mt Beauty Workman's Club was formed in 1945, re-built and opened in 1954 and again in 1962 and 1968. The Bowls club was founded in 1970 and later was affiliated with the Victorian Ladies' Bowling Association (VLBA) and the North Eastern District LBA in 1974. There were strict rules regarding the Bowlers' uniform.The Mt Beauty Workman's Club was built by the SECV in 1945 to service their employees on the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. As Mt Beauty grew it became the centre of activity for residents including the Bowling Club. The blazer is an example of the dress code for men playing bowls at the time.Black wool blazer fully lined with long sleeves, collar, 2 silver buttons. 3 pockets on the front - 2 on the bottom - left and right - and one at the top on the left. The Kiewa Hydro Workmen's Club was established in 1948. It was a recreational facility for the men working on the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. The Kiewa Hydro Workmen's Club was established firstly as a shop by the SECV during the construction of the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme. It became a Club to enable members to purchase and consume liquor on the premises. Alex McCullough was a member in 1955 and was a prominent citizen.Small, thin booklet with grey cardboard cover with 16 pages (out of order) stapled at the spine. No. 1 Pipeline heads down the mountain from McKay Power Station (the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme) and can be seen from the Falls Creek Rd.. The pipeline is 1635m long. It was built on the mountain rather than as a tunnel inside the mountain - "It was argued that a pressure pipeline on the surface, while not actually cheaper than the tunnel could possibly save one year in construction time.'The document is a report on the welding involved on the No. 1 pipeline. J. M. Scott was the welding inspector for the SECV on the Kiewa Hydro Electric Scheme.
