President's overview of the year including: the objections of residents to the Seeing Eye Dog School being located in a residential area and subsequent legal objections, the assistance of Alf Krummel in providing pedigreed puppies for training, the opening of a shop and welfare centre in Cairns (?), the need for more volunteers and the huge contribution made by Alec and Barbara Peach, three people were brought down from Cairns for rehabilitation training, the passing of volunteer Jane Orrell and Elizabeth Jackson as well as secretary of the Lady Nell Stawell and District Auxiliary Margaret Meagher, thanks to Dr Rowan Blogg and Dr John Stirling for the continued care of the dogs, and a press release and copies of letters on the background and actions taken with Peter Filgate and his seeing eye dog Sheba.
