The Dandenongs was, and continues to be, a popular, scenic destination for weekend tourists from Melbourne. This photograph is one of five photographs located at or close to Clematis Station and taken on a hiking excursion in 1948 by two young Melbourne couples. This photograph shows Gordon Scambler and Keith Easterbrook, with their heads on the railway line listening for an approaching train.
