Historical information
The Dandenongs was, and continues to be, a popular, scenic destination for weekend tourists from Melbourne. This is one of five photographs located at or close to Clematis Station and taken on a hiking excursion in 1948 by two young Melbourne couples. This photograph shows three of the hikers, Gordon Scrambler, Hazel Elderfield and Audrey Duncan. Gordon has taken his shoe off because he had developed blisters.
