Tram 27 was built in 1916 by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide for Hawthorn Tramways Trust. It came to Ballarat in 1930 and became part of the fleet of the State Electricity Commission. When the trams ceased running in 1971, it was obtained by the Tramway Museum Society of Victoria. Cast brass, about 40mm in diameter with a right angle lug to enable a person to lift the window. Words "Duncan & Fraser" cast around the outside of the device and the words "Adelaide S.A." cast into the centre. Has been drilled with three countersunk holes. Has brown paint on the lifting portion. On the rear, possibly the letters "5L", scratched into the metal. If this is the case, could have indicated the fifth left hand window as an identification of location. Tram 26 was built in 1916 by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide for Hawthorn Tramways Trust and was known as Tram No.6. It was renumbered by Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramway Board in 1920 . It became No.111. In 1930 it was sold to the Electric Supply Company of Victoria and numbered 26. In 1934 it passed to the SEC. It is a standard Californian combination - drop ends. The tram is still in the Ballarat Tramway fleet and runs during the Summer. The photograph shows two trams in Drummond Street at the Urquhart Street Loop. Information on the back shows the photo was taken about 8.15 in the morning. The trams travel down Grey Street Sebastopol, up Victoria Street and then Lydiard Street North. Tram 26 was built in 1916 by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide for Hawthorn Tramways Trust and was known as Tram No.6. It was renumbered by Melbourne and Metropolitan Tramway Board in 1920 . The tram in the centre is Number 41. Photo taken in the Depot Shed in July 1971 prior to the closure of the tramway. It was built in 1914 by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide. Originally in Geelong and came to Ballarat when their trams stopped running in 1956. When Ballarat trams stopped in 1971, Tram 41 went to Horsham City Council for the Wimmera River Improvement League. The tram was converted inside and became a smokers' lounge within Olde Horsham Restaurant. Black and white photograph of Freight Car 206 at Preston Workshops. This tram began as one of 10 single truck saloon trams built by J.G. Brill & Co., USA and assembled by Duncan and Fraser, Adelaide. It entered service for the NMETL as tram number 5 on 13/10/1906. It was transferred to MMTB and renumbered as U class tram 206 on 1/8/1922. It was withdrawn from service in 1938 and was converted to a freight car.
