On 31st August, 2004 the VLBA ladies open day was held with Sue Hudson rolling the new yellow jack on the synthetic green. Sue was runner-up in the Ladies Club Championships.
The Club Champion for 2003/2004 was Gordana Baric shown putting down the first bowl of the season. Gordana represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in 2002.
1929 saw the establishment of the Ringwood Bowls Club initially located on the land now occupied by the Eastland Shopping Centre. It moved to its current location in Loughnan Road, Ringwood in 1997.

The group was led by RVBA President Bob Poulton, with Vice-President Sam Murphy, Treasurer Cliff Martin and 13 councillors. A commemorative pennant was presented to Club President Arnold Bartling. Special mention was given to Merv Pottenger and his garden helpers for the beautiful gardens around the greens.

Fours Winners: Congratulations were in order to Ringwood's team comprised of Joyce Clayton (Skip), Bobbie Sanderson, Jean Baxter and June Boyd, for their success in winning the Inaugural Group 17 Fours in the VLBA 1994/95 State Title Championships. The team went on to a very creditable performance in finishing Equal Third in the State Finals.

A recount of votes in Loughnan's Hill Ward failed to overturn the result in the most hotly contested ward of last weekend's first Maroondah Council elections.Despite attracting only 1014 first preference votes - fourth highest - Joe Cossari went on to win Loughnan's Hill by 247 votes from former Ringwood councillor Yvonne Kaukas after preference votes recorded by six other candidates were distributed.
