1929 saw the establishment of the Ringwood Bowls Club initially located on the land now occupied by the Eastland Shopping Centre. It moved to its current location in Loughnan Road, Ringwood in 1997.

"Attached to photograph" On 31st August, 2004 the VLBA ladies open day was held with Sue Hudson rolling the new yellow jack on the synthetic green. Sue was runner-up in the Ladies Club Championships. The Club Champion for 2003/2004 was Gordana Baric shown putting down the first bowl of the season. Gordana represented Australia at the Commonwealth Games in 2002.

Fours Winners: Congratulations were in order to Ringwood's team comprised of Joyce Clayton (Skip), Bobbie Sanderson, Jean Baxter and June Boyd, for their success in winning the Inaugural Group 17 Fours in the VLBA 1994/95 State Title Championships. The team went on to a very creditable performance in finishing Equal Third in the State Finals.

Guest Presenter Dennis Johnston was named 2023 Maroondah Citizen of the Year for his long-standing involvement with and contribution to Biala, Ringwood. This organisation is dedicated to providing support and care for special needs children and their family.

Ringwood CWA was formed on 7th March in 1946 in the small town hall, with 65 Foundation members. Even in the first meeting, there was a competition for the best scones and tomatoes. The consensus was to meeting monthly on the first Thursday. In this presentation, Lorraine Zimmerman talks of the history and some of the activities of Ringwood's CWA branch.

Two catalogues of goods to sell, from Ringwood Timber & Trading
Editorial of 15201b includes a short history of the company. In 1937, Mr S Coopersmith and son, Frank (the present Managing Director) started a fruit case manufacturing business in North Melbourne under the name of The Cooper Case Co. The business flourished, and in 1940, recognising the possibilities in and around Ringwood, an old bush sawmill and an area of land on the Maroondah Highway, were secured. Subsequent purchases have since increased this area to approximately 15 acres. It was decided to widen the activities and scope of the business and two new firms were formed. Cooper Sawmilling Co., which operated a modern sawmill, and Ringwood Timber & Trading Co., which handled the output of the sawmill and introduced builders' and general hardware lines to meet the demands of this rapidly expanding area. As Ringwood grew, so too did the organisation which was created to serve it. The principals studied timber and hardware merchandising trends overseas, and after considerable investigation the new building on Maroondah Highway was completed in 1956. Today, acclaimed as one of the most modern mills and hardware stores in the Southern Hemisphere, combining up to date machinery and handling equipment together with unique drive-in facilities and a self-selection centre. A recount of votes in Loughnan's Hill Ward failed to overturn the result in the most hotly contested ward of last weekend's first Maroondah Council elections.Despite attracting only 1014 first preference votes - fourth highest - Joe Cossari went on to win Loughnan's Hill by 247 votes from former Ringwood councillor Yvonne Kaukas after preference votes recorded by six other candidates were distributed.
