Sifting through the wreckage after Ringwood High School's fire last week, principal Mr Peter Cowell was still in shock. Damage estimates are as high as $700,000 but the value of some of the equipment and resources gathered over the school's 30 year history can never be replaced. Fire units from as far away as Box Hill and Surrey Hills combined to give a total of 10 units fighting the fire. The arson squad is investigating the cause of the fire. Article includes a photo of assistant principal, Mr Gerry Robinson, sitting among the wreckage of the fire.
