IN teh first article, Parents and the school committee argue that the council should improve the streets and footpaths so children can reach the school safely and “dry shod.”
The committee believes the council has the authority to construct the roads and charge landowners, but only if the streets meet the required 50‑foot width.
The article notes that significant money has already been spent on the school and that better roads would increase nearby property values.

In the second clipping dated 11/7/2024, Mr. A. V. Greenwood raises the issue of gravelling the footpaths; The chairman responds that the league cannot act because the streets are privately owned.
