Transcription: Teachers met old pupils.
Many old memories were revived when former Ringwood State School teachers met some of their old pupils for the first time in 40 years at an annual reunion at Kallista recently. Community singing and swapping of old school stories occupied most of the day and was followed by a smorgasbord luncheon.
One of the guests, pianist Philip Herry, is a grandson of Ringwood's first baker and pioneer family, Louis Herry, whose premises were situated near the original Club Hotel.
It was the annual reunion of Club 2997 Ex-Students in the 1923-1930 period. Some members, including Jim Comb (Swan Hill) and Gertie Stoel (Hamilton) travelled long distances to meet old friends. (Co-Pilot 24/10/2026)
