Subject file containing correspondence, newspaper articles/clippings and a book - ‘Les Naifs Haitiennes: An introduction to Haitian art and history’ (Madame Shishi, 1982, 63pp). Madame Shishi was at one stage a resident of Kew but had spent the previous twenty years in Haiti, and was the Haitian Consul General. Madame Shishi donated one of her paintings to the City of Kew in 1984 - ‘La Vie Haitienne’. The Mayor Cr Jill O’Brien accepted the donation. The painting, oil on Masonite is described in the file.
